Spreading the value of Yen Tu - VInh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiep bac heritage
On July 12, at the 47th session of the World Heritage Committee (UNESCO), the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac relic and landscape complex was officially named in the List of World Cultural Heritage. The UNESCO’s recognition is a well-deserved for a journey full of effort, affirming a vibrant cultural and spiritual heritage, making unique contributions to the world's cultural heritage.
Con Son Landscape and Relic Site includes the adjacent Ky Lan Mountain; Kiep Bac Temple leans against Tran Rong Mountain, in front of Luc Dau River. That is the miraculous recreation of nature for Con Son - Kiep Bac Landscape and Relic site. The value of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiep Bac relic and landscape complex lies in the unique combination of cultural, historical, religious values and majestic natural landscapes; it is a testament to the formation and development of the Truc Lam Zen sect founded by King Tran Nhan Tong, promoting peace, patriotism and harmony between humans and nature.
Kiep Bac Temple is the place in dedication to Tran Hung Dao. The Con Son Kiep Bac Festival is held in the 8th lunar month every year, demonstrating the spirit of the ancient East Asia spirit. To further spread the value of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiep Bac Relic and Landscape Complex, the city and locality has placed focus on preserving the heritage associated with sustainable tourism development; stepping up communication to expand the image of the heritage, raising awareness and the responsibility of the community and people as "cultural ambassadors" to promote the heritage to the world.
