According to Decision No. 3067 of the City People's Committee on the approval of the investment policy and the investor simultaneously, the Cat Bi International Airport Cargo Terminal Construction Project has a designed capacity of 100,000 tons of cargo/year and a system of technical infrastructure works, with a total investment capital of 390 billion VND from the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV).

Regarding site clearance, up to now, ACV has coordinated with departments, agencies and sectors to complete the procedures and transfer more than 6 billion VND to Hai An District Land Fund Development Center to handle payment for site clearance, but there are still some problems.

When completed, the cargo terminal will meet the huge cargo transportation needs of businesses in Hai Phong City and neighboring localities to the North, bringing high socio-economic efficiency. Therefore, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam is actively coordinating with the parties to accelerate the project's progress./
