This year's tournament attracted the participation of 1,300 athletes from 68 delegations, units and clubs from communes, wards and special zones in the city. Athletes competed in the Swiss system of 7 rounds, divided into 8 age groups of men and women. This is a practical activity to welcome the first City Party Congress, term 2025-2030, and at the same time respond to the campaign " All people practise physical training following the great example of Uncle Ho”  launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The tournament not only contributes to assessing the quality of extracurricular activities of students, but also encourages and develops the chess training movement among teenagers and children. Through this tournament, the city will discover and select talented athletes to participate higher level competitions in the coming time.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to outstanding groups and individuals. The first prize went to Blue Horse Club, the second prize went to Phu Thai commune, and the third prize went to Tu Ky Chess Club./.
