Hai Phong Promotes Investment Cooperation in Education with EQuest Group and Keiser University (USA)
On the afternoon of August 6, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung, welcomed the leadership delegation of EQuest Education Group and Keiser University (USA) during a courtesy visit and discussion on plans to implement new educational projects in the city in the near future.

On the afternoon of August 6, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung, welcomed the leadership delegation of EQuest Education Group and Keiser University (USA) during a courtesy visit and discussion on plans to implement new educational projects in the city in the near future.
During the reception, Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh Hung warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for their visit and interest in cooperation with Hai Phong. He shared that from July 1, 2025, Hai Phong City has been officially established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of the former Hai Phong City and Hai Duong Province. Currently, the city spans nearly 3,200 km² with a population of about 4.7 million, ranking third in the country in terms of economic scale.
He emphasized that the merger has significantly expanded the city's educational scope. Hai Phong now has 8 universities, 1,608 preschools and general education institutions, 652 foreign language, IT, and life skills centers, and 77 vocational education institutions. Throughout its development, the city has consistently prioritized education and training, promoted science and technology applications, built an innovation ecosystem, and issued breakthrough policies to foster comprehensive development of the education sector. As a result, Hai Phong's education quality has remained among the nation's top groups, especially in national and international academic competitions.

Vice Chairman Hung reaffirmed Hai Phong’s strategic goal of becoming a national and regional hub for industry, services, logistics, and high-quality education and training. He stressed that high-quality human resources are a key driver of development, and education is the foundation for long-term growth. Therefore, the city always welcomes, encourages, and facilitates investors seeking to explore, cooperate, and implement educational projects locally. The city government commits to direct relevant departments and agencies to closely coordinate and provide maximum support in terms of procedures and necessary conditions for the Group to carry out educational programs and projects in line with the city’s development orientation and practical needs.

Representing the Group, Mr. David Armstrong – Vice President of EQuest Education Group expressed his pleasure to return to Hai Phong and praised the city’s overall potential development  particularly in education and training. He shared about his long-term involvement with Viet Nam’s education sector and the group’s strategic orientation in Northern Viet Nam. According to Mr. Armstrong, EQuest has already implemented several reputable educational projects in the area, including Alpha Interlevel School Hai Phong, Ngoi Sao Interlevel School Hai Phong, and Newton Interlevel School Hai Duong. Notably, the Group is finalizing necessary procedures to establish a Hai Phong Branch of Phu Xuan University, marking a new step forward in higher education development. He expressed hope to continue receiving the attention and support of the city’s leaders to ensure implement the project smoothly, bringing high-quality learning opportunities to local students and contributing to the sustainable development of Hai Phong’s education sector.
