Hai Phong City develops transport infrastructure system
Being a crucial location in the Red River Delta, Hai Phong City has been constantly realizing projects and developing a synchronous and modern infrastructure system. The efforts aim to accelerate the city’s socio-economic development and motivate the whole region.

Over the years, the city has invested in many inter-regional traffic structures. After the construction of the Hoa River Bridge, Dinh Bridge, and Quang Thanh Bridge connecting Hai Phong City to Thai Binh and Hai Duong provinces, two large bridges connecting the city to Quang Ninh, namely Lai Xuan Bridge and Ben Rung Bridge, were also implemented. The investment projects to build coastal roads, renovate and upgrade national highway No. 10, and berths No. 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Hai Phong International Gateway Port at Lach Huyen are also underway according to the set schedule.
As a locality that fully converges with five modes of transport of intersecting gateway seaport traffic–Cat Bi International Airport, a railway system connecting two corridors, an economic belt between Vietnam and China, and the road traffic system connecting the major economic centers of the region– Hai Phong City has been effectively promoting this existing strength.
A series of fundamental infrastructure projects with a total investment of up to trillions of dong is being focused on, preparing to start construction shortly. These projects will not only change the urban appearance but also contribute significantly to Hai Phong City's development in the space of the Red River Delta and the whole country.
