The centralized customs clearance model with outstanding features such as customs procedures at a single door; paperless customs procedures, IT application to support customs procedures... is a comprehensive solution and a core transformation. To pilot the centralized customs clearance model in the first quarter of next year, a lot of preparations need to be made. Along with the streamlining, the tasks of reviewing and giving consultancy on amending and supplementing a number of legal regulations and developing customs procedures for centralized customs clearance; the Customs Sub- Department III needs to study and reassign the management areas of customs units at border gates/outside border gates; upgrade the IT system to serve professional activities; modernize inspection and supervision equipment such as scanners, cameras... to save time and cost for businesses.
