New Features In Traditional Do Son Buffalo Fighting Festival 2023
There are only about two weeks left until September 23rd (the 9th day of the 8th month according to the lunar calendar), where Do Son Traditional Buffalo Fighting Festival 2023 will be held. The Do Son district is actively preparing the best for the festival to take place safely and smoothly, following regulations. This year, the Buffalo Fighting Festival will have some new features. Only those with invitation tickets and tourists who register for a tour through an agency will be able to enter the stadium to watch the buffalo fights.
To eliminate the widespread sale of tickets and invitations this year, the Do Son district has strictly prohibited selling tickets outside the arena. The central stadium of the Do Son district where the festival takes place can only accommodate about 20,000 people, so half of the seats are reserved for guests with invitation tickets as the other half will go to tourists who have registered for tours on the day of the festival via a festival organizer-accompanying unit.
To meet the requirements for digital transformation and technology application in the issuance of invitation tickets, Hai Phong Tourism Association, the unit accompanying the organizing committee of the 2023 Do Son traditional buffalo fighting festival, will issue tickets in the form of QR codes, allegedly in line with the trend of “non-cash payment,” bringing many conveniences to visitors to attend the festival.
2023 marks the 32nd Do Son Buffalo Fighting Festival. The festival will take place from 7:30 A.M. on September 23rd (the 9th day of the 8th according to the lunar calendar) at the central stadium of Do Son district. The broadcast will be aired live on the THP channel and other platforms of Hai Phong Radio and Television (THP).
