This year's tournament takes place in a vibrant competitive atmosphere, celebrating the 139th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025), the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hai Phong (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025) and the Red Flamboyant Festival - Hai Phong 2025. The activity also welcomes the City Sports Congress, launching a physical training movement among union members and workers following the example of the great Uncle Ho. The tournament gathers 16 teams with nearly 300 players and coaches from all levels of unions, agencies, units and enterprises in the city. Over the course of more than one month, the teams will compete in 31 matches every Sunday morning. The tournament not only improves participants’ physical and mental health, but is also an opportunity for union members and employees to demonstrate solidarity, exchange and learn, and encourage the emulation movement in production and labor.

The City Labor Federation will select from the tournament the best players to represent Hai Phong to participate in the 2025 National Workers' Men's Football Championship organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor./.
