HAIPHONG PEOPLE’S COMMITTEE CONVENES REGULAR CONFERENCE IN SEPTEMBER
 

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - Chairman of Haiphong People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tung presided over the online regular conference in September of the municipal people’s committee to assess the socio-economic development in 9 months and set out orientations and targets for the fourth quarter of 2021 and Covid-19 prevention measures.

From January to September, Haiphong’s GRDP increased 12.28% year-on-year, of which, the agro-forestry and aquaculture group went up 1.23%; the industry and construction increased 19.9%; services rose by 3.96%. In the past 9 months, IIP is estimated to increase 19.68% over the same period 2020. The state budget collection in the city area in 9 months is estimated to fetch VND 67 trillion, up 22.27% against the same period of the previous year and equivalent to 74.89% of the estimates assigned by the city people’s council. The total investment capital of the society in 9 months is estimated to gain 118 trillion VND, up 1.38% as compared to the same period last year, equivalent to 58.25% of the year’s plan. Export turnover in 9 months valued USD 18.54 billion, up 25.5% over 2020, making up 83.13% of the year’s plan. The total cargo throughput is estimated 106.32 million tons, up 8.03% against the same period and representing for 66.87% of the set plan…
