In the first six months of 2018, industrial production in Hai Phong increased significantly compared to the same period last year. This has been achieved through a positive economic restructuring and an improvement of investment environment.
In June, the industrial development index of Hai Phong increased more than 25% over the same period last year. After the first 6 months, the industrial production index is estimated to increase by over 24%. The city's industrial output value at 2010 prices wwas estimated at 135.3 trillion dongs, an increase of more than 26% over the same period of 2017. During this time, large growth industries included communication equipment, cement, products from concrete and plaster, textiles and consumer electronics.
