Overall strategy to develop Haiphong’s service sector up to 2020

Haiphong People’s Committee recently promulgated the action plan to implement the overall strategy to develop Haiphong’s service sector up to 2020. The action plan is to concretize fundamental orientations and tasks which were defined in the Decision No.175/QD-TTg dated 27th January 2011 of the Prime Minister approving the overall strategy to develop Vietnam’s service sector up to 2020; and Decision No.808/QD-TTg dated 29th June 2012 of the Prime Minister promulgating the action plan to implement the overall strategy to develop Vietnam’s service sector up to 2020, in order to ensure its conformity with the socio-economic development strategy of Haiphong city for the 2011-2020 period.

Haiphong builds intensive specialized IPs with incentives to attract Japanese investors

Hai Phong City recently held a workshop on Building intensive specialized industrial Parks (IPs) for Japanese investors, chaired by City People’s Committee Standing Vice Chairman Dan Duc Hiep. Attending the workshop were leaders from relevant ministries, central and local agencies, and Japanese organizations.

City commits to support attraction of FDI projects to Dinh Vu IZ

 In order to foster FDI attraction to Dinh Vu Industrial Zone, especially toward large industrial, high-tech and environment friendly projects, Haiphong People’s Committee recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Dinh Vu Industrial Zone JSC on cooperation to develop Dinh Vu Industrial Zone.

Fostering construction of infrastructure and incentive projects

Haiphong is holding the key position in foreign trade and socio-development in Northern Vietnam, and being a port city, a national-ranking urban area, an industrial, trade, service and tourism center of Vietnam, a main gate to the sea for international economic integration of the North, a focal point of transportation (with a system of seaway, airway, railways, expressway, and inland waterway) which helps to promote exchanges with all provinces and cities domestically as well as worldwide.
