The papers to UNESCO for recognizing Cat Ba - Long Chau Island as a world's natural heritage passed

The National Heritage Council of 27 members has recently met with the Vietnam UNESCO Committee and People's Committee of Hai Phong city to review  papers submitted to UNESCO for recognizing Cat Ba - Long Chau Island as a world's natural heritage.

The Council made good comments on Haiphong city’s well-prepared application papers, clearly highlighting the biodiversity and natural values ​​of Cat Ba - Long Chau Island.

This shows local great efforts on and determination in applying for the UNESCO world's natural heritage award. The National Heritage Council checked the papers, and required some revision to made for the Prime Minister’s approval prior to submission to UNESCO on September 23rd.

This is such a good news and an important milestone that Cat Ba Island - Long Chau is soon recognized by the UNESCO to be a world’s natural heritage.
