Project of Ben Rung Bridge ready to start
(Haiphong.gov.vn) - As a part of a series of events to celebrate the 67th Anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day and the Red Flamboyant Festival, Ben Rung Bridge construction investment project will officially start on May 13.  The project aims to realize a cooperation agreement between the two provinces and cities of Hai Phong - Quang Ninh with the aim of connecting trade, developing regional links, and boosting regional economy.

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - As a part of a series of events to celebrate the 67th Anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day and the Red Flamboyant Festival, Ben Rung Bridge construction investment project will officially start on May 13.  The project aims to realize a cooperation agreement between the two provinces and cities of Hai Phong - Quang Ninh with the aim of connecting trade, developing regional links, and boosting regional economy. Yesterday, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho inspected the preparation for the project's groundbreaking ceremony. 

Through the inspection, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho suggested that functional departments, branches, localities and units should actively implement the tasks with high sense of responsibility, make careful preparation for the project.  He assigned the Department of Transport, Hai Phong Public Security to proactively set up a sound plan to ensure smooth traffic; assigned Thuy Nguyen district to check decoration, celebration, ensure security, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, in a bid to prepare all conditions for the project groundbreaking ceremony. 

Ben Rung Bridge over Da Bach River is about 1,865m long and 21.5m wide.  The main bridge consists of 4 spans. The project investment totals nearly 1,941 billion dong.  As planned, the project will start on May 13 to celebrate 67th Anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day and the Red Flamboyant Festival 2022.
