On Friday afternoon, the Standing Boards of Da Nang Party Committee and Haiphong Party Committee held a conference for mutual cooperation and development. Attending the working session were Mr. Trần Lưu Quang – Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Haiphong Party Committee, Head of Haiphong NA delegation; Mr. Phạm Văn Lập - Chairman of Haiphong People’s Council; Mr. Nguyễn Văn Quảng - Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Da Nang Party Committee, Head of Da Nang NA delegation; Mr. Lương Nguyễn Minh Triết - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Da Nang; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Da Nang and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Da Nang Lê Trung Chinh.

Da Nang and Haiphong are two centrally-run cities, recognized as the first grade national-level urban and have significant role, potentials and position in the major economic regions. Especially, to give two cities breakthrough mechanisms for long-standing and sustainable development, the Politburo ratified Resolution No.43 on building Da Nang city till 2030 with visions towards 2045 and Resolution No.45 on building and developing Haiphong city till 2030 with visions towards 2045. The National Assembly also adopted and promulgated Resolution No.119 on pilot organization of urban authority and several specific mechanisms and policies to develop Da Nang city and Resolution No.35 on several specific mechanisms and policies to develop Haiphong city. Basing on concretizing these resolutions, leaders of two localities agreed on boosting exchanges and cooperation in all-sided fields for mutual development in the coming time via a range of measures.

After this working session, the Standing Boards of Da Nang Party Committee and Haiphong Party Committee decided to assign the people’s committees of the two localities to build up the cooperation and development program with concrete cooperation contents for particular locations, progress and sources.

Earlier, on Friday morning, the delegation of Da Nang and Haiphong burnt incense at Haiphong martyrs worshipping temple, Hải Đà 76 battalion in Điện Phong commune, Điện Bản township, Quảng Nam province to pay tribute to the great merits of our forefathers for the country’s freedom and peace./.
