DEFENSIVE ZONE DRILL 2021 OPENS
(Haiphong.gov.vn) - Haiphong held the opening ceremony for the city’s defensive zone drill 2021. Attending and following the event were lieutenant-general Huỳnh Chiến Thắng – Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army; brigadier Nguyễn Quang Ngọc – Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of Military Zone III; lieutenant-general Nguyễn Quang Cường – Secretary of Party Committee, Political commissar of Military Zone III; units under the General Staff, the General Department of Warfare, Ministry of Defense and leaders of 8 cities and provinces of the Military Zone III.

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - Haiphong held the opening ceremony for the city’s defensive zone drill 2021. Attending and following the event were lieutenant-general Huỳnh Chiến Thắng – Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army; brigadier Nguyễn Quang Ngọc – Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of Military Zone III; lieutenant-general Nguyễn Quang Cường – Secretary of Party Committee, Political commissar of Military Zone III; units under the General Staff, the General Department of Warfare, Ministry of Defense and leaders of 8 cities and provinces of the Military Zone III.
Attending the important event from Haiphong city were Mr. Tran Luu Quang – Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Haiphong Party Committee, Head of Haiphong National Assembly delegation, Secretary of Haiphong’s Military Party Committee, head of the Steering Board for Maneuver; Mr. Nguyen Van Tung – Deputy Secretary of Haiphong Party Committee, Chairman of Haiphong People’s Committee, deputy head of the Steering Board for Maneuver and head of Organizing Board; Mr. Do Manh Hien – Standing Deputy Secretary of Party Committee; Mr. Pham Van Lap –Member of the Standing Board of Party Committee, Chairman of People’s Council; members of the Standing Board of Party Committee, city leaders and representatives of sectors and units.
In his opening speech, Mr. Tran Luu Quang - Secretary of Haiphong Party Committee, Secretary of Haiphong’s Military Party Committee, head of the Steering Board for Maneuver stated that the drill helps to reinforce strength for the defensive zone and fighting capacity of the city’s armed forces, thus, they will draw experience in directing, from setting out plans, preparing documents to operating the mechanism and rendering the drill in peace time, serving as the foundation to construct, consolidate and enhance the potentials in the defensive zone, at the same time supplementing and building up the battle tactics, be ready for the incidents.
The drill results will supplement and finalize the battle plans for the defensive zone to suit with the reality and capacity of every agency, unit, locality; at the same time propose functional agencies to consider, amend and supplement emerging issues during the drill operation process and building of defensive zone in the locality./.
