Conditions for being offered preferential treatments (at least one of the following conditions must be matched by projects)

15 years

• Project investing in areas prescribed in Appendix III;
• Production for export of more than 70% of products;
• Breeding of aquatic products;
• Processing of agricultural products, aquatic products for export at least 50% of products;

• Production and application of info-tech, bio-tech, new materials;

12 years

• Production and export over 60% up to 70% of products;
• Shipbuilding; manufacture of nautical equipment and equipment serving shipbuilding industry;
• Production of equipment, spare parts for vessels, fishing boats;
• Production of machinery, spare parts for engines, hydraulics and compressing machines;
• Metallurgy, production of steel billets, alloy steels, special metals;
• Manufacture of machining tools;
• Production of heavy duty lifting equipment of from 10-ton capacity upward;
• Production of raw materials, ancillary materials for foot-wears and garments for export;
• Social welfare projects (public health, education and training, culture);

9 years

- Projects in the list of specially encouraged investment projects and the list of encouraged investment projects under Decree 24/2000/ND-CP of the Government.

7 years

• Production and export over 40% to under 50% of products;
• Investment capital of over USD 5 million;
• Project employing over 400 to 500 employees;

5 years

• Production and export over 30% to 40% of products;
• Investment capital of over USD 4 million to USD 5 million;
• Project employing over 300 to 400 employees;

4 years

• Investment capital of over USD 3 million to USD 4 million;
• Project employing over 200 to 300 employees;

3 years

• Investment capital of over USD 2 million to USD 3 million;
• Project employing over 100 to 200 employees;
