Big increase in FDI, ODA projects attraction in the first 5 months of 2003

According to the Department of Planning and Investment, the total foreign direct investment (FDI) capital attracted to the city from the beginning to the end of May, 2003 has reached USD100,250,620, twice increasing as compared with the total FDI capital of 2002, over than the set target of 2003 by the city. The newly granted FDI projects in the first 5 months of 2003 are 22, approximately equivalent to the total number of the 2002 FDI projects.

In the same period of the year, the total amount of ODA projects mobilized by the city has been also as twice as much the total ODA projects capital of 2002.
